Job DetailsJob Location: ROLLING HILLS CASINO - CORNING, CA 96021Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $19.90 - $30.82 HourlyJob Shift: SwingJob Category: Information TechnologySummary Manages inventory, installs, modifies, and makes minor repairs to personal computer hardware and software systems and provides technical assistance and training to system users. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Providing 24x7 desktop support and Helpdesk administration. Purchases standard computer related equipment and software, maintains inventory, receives product and processes returns. Receives and inspects personal computer equipment, related hardware and software; and prepares for placement per Information Services Request (ISR). Loads & updates specified software, including operating systems and end user applications as specified. Installs hardware and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, printers, memory and disk drives on user's desktop computers. Enters commands and observes system functions to verify correct system operation. Provides network orientation for new users and instructs users in use of equipment, software, and manuals. Answers customer inquiries in person and via telephone concerning systems operation. Diagnoses system hardware, software, and operator problems. Recommends or performs minor remedial actions to correct problems based on knowledge of system operation. Replaces defective or inadequate hardware and software. Escalates major hardware and software problems to appropriate team member. Attends technical training to keep abreast of new software and hardware product developments. Conducts preventive maintenance on all desktop PCs, POS terminals and peripherals. Manages software licenses and hardware documentation for workstations. Remain abreast of changes in user and system software and hardware requirements and makes recommendations for future software and hardware purchases. Works closely with Information Technology team members on projects and tasks. May work long hours. Maintain a flexible work schedule. Other duties may be assigned. Requirements Minimum 21 years of age. Valid California Drivers License Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Education and/or Experience Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school, or six months to one year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Gaming license issued by the Paskenta Gaming Commission. Must have valid California Driver's License. Must obtain Title 31 certification as trained by Rolling Hills Casino.
