Due to the volume of student requests we receive, Comprehensive Healthcare is only able to consider internship placements for students whose undergraduate or graduate degree program requires completion of an internship in order to graduate. We prioritize internship placements for students in counseling or social work programs, though we also accept students from other related disciplines when space is available. We host internships at all five Comprehensive Healthcare campuses, including Ellensburg, Walla Walla, Yakima, Sunnyside, and the Tri-Cities. Availability will be depend on the specific requirements of each student's internship program, as determined by the university they attend. Each of our different treatment areas can offer unique experiences and learning opportunities for students, so it's important to consider your interests, career goals, and internship requirements when determining which programs to apply for. Application & Placement Process: Complete the online application and upload all required and relevant documents A member of the HR team will review your application for details like geographic location, supervision requirements, and timeframe. If we believe we may be able to provide a suitable experience to meet your requirements, your application will be forwarded to relevant supervisors. Interviews with potential supervisors If selected for an internship, a member of HR will facilitate the process of completing all required paperwork & agreements to confirm the internship placement HR will also conduct a criminal background check Once everything is confirmed, you'll be scheduled to complete a day of onboarding before you start your internship. Generally this takes place on a Monday at our main facility in Yakima, but there is some flexibility for students unable to travel.
