Job Description

Pay: From $18.00-$21.00 per hour

Summary: Responsible for assisting the CEO, President, Vice-President, Property Supervisors, Accounting Manager, and Account Executives in the smooth operation of the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Key bills for properties as necessary to assist Account Executives or Accounting Manager.
  • Match checks with appropriate bills and statements; stuff, seal and stamp checks as necessary to assist Account Executives or Accounting Manager.
  • Complete and send lien waivers as necessary on each check run.
  • Make Bank Deposits to appropriate Financial Institutions as necessary or directed by Accounting Manager.
  • Make sure the daily outgoing mail and UPS packages are delivered to pickup areas by 3:00 p.m. each day.
  • Answer Phones.
  • Perform all other jobs necessary that will benefit the company.
  • Treat residents, vendors and other staff members with equal respect.

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalency. Must have accounting, ten - key and computer experience.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees and residents.

    Math Skills: Ability to work with math concepts i.e. those used in budgets, lease amounts, pro-rates, etc. Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

    Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram or schedule form.

    Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to walk, sit, talk and hear.

    Work Environment: The office is spread out and requires some walking. The noise level in the work place is normal to the surroundings of the home environment.

    People Skills: The ability to handle any confrontations with the public and converse with residents, vendors, employees, contractors, and salesmen.
