Job Description

SteelSeries has been helping gamers get better since 2001.  In fact, Esports pros have won more money using SteelSeries products than any other brand and we're just getting started. Esports and Gaming are multi-billion-dollar industries, and we're going to continue supporting them through innovative gear and software gamers need and love.  We create products that help the best of the best be better, and products that help the not-so-good feel not-so-bad. 

The Global Category Brand Intern will assist the Brand Management team in delivering the category revenue and market share goals, while building the brand’s equity in the category. This will be achieved by developing the overall category priorities, creating unique product positioning, action-oriented business plans, and working with cross-functional counterparts to ensure implementation. Brand Interns will get the opportunity to present to and participate in meetings with senior level executives at SteelSeries.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Data Analysis
    • Deep dive into NPD & GfK sell-out data to uncover category and product level insights to optimize the audio and HID categories
    • Track product performance via sell-in sales data to customers and benchmark against prior launches
  • Market & Consumer Research
    • Assist in development of concept boards to test new product ideas for viability, volumetrics, and positioning
  • Product Portfolio Support
    • Support collection of product launch information (e.g. marketing plans, launch materials, sample quantities, etc.)
  • Project Support
    • Help manage timelines and project documentation of key deliverables (e.g. SMP/positioning, sell-in decks, game-specific marketing plans, etc.)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree candidate w/ Business major or minor
  • Prefer interest in gaming
  • Have taken an integrated marketing class
  • Adept at analyzing large data sets to identify market opportunities
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
