Job Description

Description

This is a second shift position 315pm-145am, M-TH.

Training will be completed on first 645am-315pm, M-F.

Description/Summary 

Under the general direction of the Manufacturing Supervisor and with guidance from the Responsible Level 3, this position is responsible for operating a collection of chemical and part cleaning equipment. Uses the equipment to inspect materials such as castings, parts, tubes, assemblies, and structural members for flaws, cracks, or presence of foreign materials by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Adjusts controls of Liquid Penetrant machines /equipment on console to inspect and certify parts or assemblies.
  • Monitors working area to protect personnel area.
  • Handles metal tubing and organizes work to conduct inspection and tests.
  • Responsible for processing and arranging parts for inspection.
  • Monitors equipment calibration and performance.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. 
  • Consistently, regularly and dependably at work and on time.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed

Requirements

Education, Certifications, Licenses, & Registrations  

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
