Job Description
The Chemist Student Employee will prepare samples and standards for analytical testing, chemical and environmental testing, and general lab responsibilities associated with an analytical chemist. You will cover the basic work to help complete projects and jobs on time. You will work under the guidance of the Principal Engineer and be onsite, full time, in Milwaukee, WI.
Your Responsibilities:
Learn/operate these Chemistry & Materials Engineering Instruments and Equipment:
Microscopes
Ion chromatography (IC)
Colorimetry
Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR)
Inductively coupled plasma
Optical emission spectroscopy (ICP-OES) and digestion techniques
Organize data / images into formal reports
Performs special projects, as needed.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
Must be pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited college or university
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
Pursuing a degree in chemistry
Previous internship experience
Familiarity with chemical lab environment
Minimum Sophomore standing at an accredited college or university accredited (completed at least freshman year)
You are enrolled in at least one year after the internship concludes
Expected graduation is May 2027-May 2029
Lift up to 50 pounds
Can commit to part-time (minimum of 10-15 hours) during the school year
Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75
Local to Milwaukee area (within 50 miles of the Milwaukee Headquarters location)
Work in the role year round
Expected graduation date is December 2026 or beyond

For this role, the Base Salary Compensation is from $20-40/hourly. Our benefits for the US can be found here. Actual pay will be based on factors such as skills, knowledge, education, and experience.
