Job Description

Description

The Safety Specialist supports a safe and compliant work environment by promoting adherence to company,

customer, and regulatory safety standards. This role conducts routine safety inspections, communicates safety

concerns, supports incident reporting and investigations, and partners closely with operations to ensure all shop

floor activities meet safety requirements and compliance expectations.

What you’ll do:

• Conduct routine safety walks, inspections, and audits throughout warehouse and operational areas

• Report, document, and assist with investigations related to workplace incidents, injuries, and near misses

• Communicate safety concerns, corrective actions, and policy updates to employees and leadership

• Support compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety standards, and customer requirements

• Assist with tracking and reporting safety metrics, trends, and corrective action follow -up

• Promote safe work practices and reinforce proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

• Partner with operations leadership to identify workplace hazards and implement preventative measures

• Maintain safety documentation, records, and incident reports in accordance with company standards

• Support employee safety training, awareness initiatives, and compliance activities

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on workplace safety and operational compliance

• Perform additional duties as assigned to support business and operational needs

Requirements

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Basic knowledge of OSHA regulations preferred

• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and analytical mindset

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced warehouse environment

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism during investigations and reporting activities

• Must be able to pass a criminal background check

• Must be able to pass a drug screening

Work Environment:

• Work is performed in both warehouse and office environments

• Frequent exposure to moving equipment, warehouse traffic, and varying noise levels

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift

• Must be able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment while on the shop floor

• Exposure to operational and production environments with varying temperatures and conditions

• Frequent interaction with employees, supervisors, and operational leadership teams
