Conrad Company Holdings, a fast growing, award-winning family-owned business located in York, PA is looking for a full-time Service Counter Technician to join our growing Service Counter team at our PennAir division. We are a premier solution provider of hydraulic, pneumatic and automation products. Our Service Counter Technicians are responsible for the sale and fabrication of hydraulic and pneumatic hoses and their associated hardware, as well as assisting customers in a professional manner by providing prompt and efficient service to achieve maximum sales and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Assemble pneumatic and hydraulic hose products accurately and safely.
• Serve walk-in customers promptly and professionally.
• Assist with repair of hydraulic and pneumatic hose and equipment.
• Assist customers with product identification and product selection.
• Perform basic inventory checks and cycle counting as assigned.
• Support other service functions during peak demand.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping all retail areas, warehouses, and workstations neat and orderly.
• Follow all proper safety procedures to ensure the safety of both employees and customers, and exercise proper care in the use of tools and equipment.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Always present a professional image to vendors, customers, and associates.
• May be assigned additional duties and responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Welding experience, preferably Stick and MIG (non-certified), certified is a plus
• Steel/Stainless tube bending/flaring ability
• Mechanical knowledge and background
• Ability to learn and communicate the products and services offered, determine merchandise required by customer and suggest alternatives and/or additional items related to customer’s order
• Energetic self-starter willing to work hard with proven ability to consistently show up for work on time
• Ability to work under pressure of deadlines and in a fast-paced working environment
• Be focused and goal-oriented, with efficient time-management skills, and the ability to multi-task
• Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Possess basic math skills and knowledge of measurements and their conversion equivalents
• Basic computer skills
• TIG Welding experience is a plus
• Must be able to regularly lift and/or move a minimum of 50lbs.
