What You’ll Get to Do

The Material Handler position is focused on moving material including glass and metal from one position/location to another to expedite the product throughout the plant. This position reports to the Production Supervisor.

This position is ideal for someone with previous manufacturing experience, who is a team player and has an excellent attendance record.". A vital member of the Tempering Department this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.

Job responsibilities include:

  • The Material Handler position is focused on moving material including glass and metal from one position/location to another to expedite the product throughout the plant.

Here’s What We’re Looking For

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to read, understand, and communicate
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize work with deadlines; ability to work overtime when required.

Physical Requirements

  • Stand and walk for entire shift on concrete, up to 10 hours
  • Twist, bend and kneel
  • Lift, push, pull or move up to 75lbs individually and 150lbs with a partner
  • Requires constant reaching, handling and grasping while turning of upper body while moving and lifting
  • Visual acuity to inspect product for various quality flaws
  • Proper wear of all required Personal Protective Equipment
  • Work in temperatures consistent with same outdoor climate conditions of the region (Heat, humidity, etc.)

Position Pay Range$20—$22 USD
