Job Description

Extension Office Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinate youth programs in effort to reach traditionally underserved audiences
  • Promote/market the 4-H Program within the organization as well as to potential members
  • Organize and teach workshops in personal and professional areas of interest
  • Perform duties within UW-Extension in Fond du Lac County as directed by 4-H Educator Staff
  • Present ongoing evaluation of programs to 4-H Leaders Association Executive Board
  • Initiate and participate in a formal review of performance and growth within the position 
  • Prepare media releases related to Extension program events/activities. 

Required Knowledge & Skill Qualifications: 

  • Organizational, leadership, oral & written communications skills
  • Ability to work well with adult volunteers and youth
  • Evidence of successful leadership in school, 4-H, or the community
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Must be available to work evenings and weekends
  • Access to transportation (adequate to fulfill position responsibilities) 
  • Ability to interact with people of diverse backgrounds
  • 4-H experience desirable
  • 18 years of age or older (Twenty-one years and older preferred)
  • Two-three years of college/technical school preferred

Salary: $4,000 with an additional $1000 Scholarship at the successful completion of 12 weeks of summer programming per the signed contract. 

Condition of Hire: Per UWEX Policy, applicants will be submitted for a background screening prior to employment. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and proof of insurability.

The Federation of Diocesan Liturgical Commissions (FDLC) is a national organization composed primarily of members of diocesan liturgical commissions, worship offices and/or the equivalent diocesan liturgical structures. These diocesan liturgical personnel, appointed by their bishops, have responsibility for the promotion of the liturgical life of their dioceses. The FDLC serves as an official collaborating agent between the local churches through diocesan worship offices and liturgical commissions and the USCCB Bishops’ Committee on Divine Worship (BCDW).
