Position: Lower School Teacher Assistant
Reports to: Lower School Principal                                                                                                                               
Position type:  Exempt, Contracted - 10month School Year

Position Summary:                                                                                                                                         
Teach students in an elementary self-contained classroom through a kingdom mindset and through a biblical worldview. The mission of CCS is to inspire students and families to follow Jesus.

Uphold Biblical priorities through a growing personal relationship with Jesus.
Become an active member of FB Concord or be an active member of a local like-minded bible teaching church
Develop personal evangelism opportunities within and outside the church.
Encompass the qualities and characteristics of Concord staff members as outlined in our Staff Values.
Bachelors degree preferred
Teaching Experience preferred
1stAid/CPR certification preferred – able to obtain upon hire

RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist teachers in preparation of curriculum supplies, student testing and class or student support
Support appropriate and effective classroom management procedures
Develop a rapport with students that motivates and fosters enthusiasm for learning
Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve grade-level and school goals
Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures
Work with Lower School Principal to ensure smooth running of the program
Work to ensure that confidentiality is maintained by faculty and staff as it pertains to student discipline, academic struggles or staff issues
Participate in other CCS events as assigned or requested by Principal or HOS



WORKING CONDITIONS
Typically, a 5-day work week in an office environment. Working with various socio-economic groups, ages and nationalities.
