The Ecohouse Solar student electrical co-op will work with the field crew to assist with electrical and rooftop solar installation. Students will assist with the installation of residential and commercial PV systems, ranging from 5kW to 500kW.  

Job duties: 

• On-site labor: Assist in installation of racking, wiring, panels, inverters, and balance-of-system components 

• Pre-construction: Preparation of Ecohouse Solar’s truck with materials and tools for each job. Co-op students will not be responsible for driving a company fleet vehicle, or other vehicle for company purposes. 

• Quality: Ensure installations are of high quality and consistent with industry standards 

Minimum qualifications:  

• Construction experience, including hand tools and power tools 

• Ability to lift in excess of 60 lbs., and to perform rigorous physical labor 

• Ability to climb ladders and to work at heights, including pitched roofs 

• Ability to work in confined spaces, such as attics and crawlspaces 

• Ability & willingness to work in all weather 

• Must hold valid, unexpired driver’s license 

• Self-motivated and eager to learn 

• Customer service oriented  

• Commitment to teamwork and positive attitude 

PRE-EMPLOYMENT SCREENING

Offers of employment with EcoHouse will be contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen administered by a third-party agency.  Additionally, successful completion of a BCI criminal background review is required.  Please note, a prior criminal conviction does not immediately disqualify you from employment.

Job duties vary by position for this role. This role is used for Co-Ops working in office environments, but may work remotely some of the time.

Salary Range:

*This range reflects base pay only. Incentive earnings, like commissions or bonuses, are not included.
