Purpose of Job:

The Sales Fellow will assist the Metro Denver Operations in driving existing account growth as well as business acquisition efforts in the territory.

Job Components:

  • Work with existing Business Development Specialist to grow our existing business within the territory, including but not limited to riding along and making sales calls, answering customer inquiries, and collaborating to identify new and viable sales opportunities.

  • Assist in identifying, qualifying, and pursuing new Traditional Independent Licensed Dealer and non-mandated National Account Customers for the distributorship.

  • Assist in physically setting up new customers with racks, batteries, and point of purchase and testers, ensuring they are on route and have all proper documentation to sell our batteries.

  • Partner with Team Members through ad hoc analyses and studies to answer key commercial hypotheses or questions focused on growth.

  • Deploy strategic recommendations on projects.

  • Collaborate across teams as needed.

  • Participate in weekly team/project meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Current college student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Marketing, Business, or Communications.

  • Experience working in an office environment is preferred but not required.

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and specific deadlines under direct supervision.

  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills. 

  • Strong interpersonal, written, telephone, and verbal communication skills. 

  • Full-time summer hours in the months of June, July, and August (ability to flex schedule pending candidate availability). 

  • Must have lodging in the Denver, CO area, and reliable vehicle transportation.

Work Environment:

  • Ability to work on a computer for prolonged periods of time.

  • Ability to sustain posture in a seated position for prolonged periods of time.

  • Regularly required to use hands to grasp or handle, talk, and hear.

  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move 20+ lbs. 

  • The role may start its day from the distributorship or from home, depending on the plan for the day.
