Position Overview
Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT-B) respond to emergent and non-emergent calls for service providing compassionate and appropriate care, efficiently and safely. Providers will routinely transport patients to appropriate destinations for continued care. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, risk of radiation, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Potential exposure to communicable diseases, blood borne pathogens, and airborne pathogens.
