Position Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Test Engineer to support the development, validation, and refinement of new products and technologies through custom test fixture design, prototype development, physical testing, and data-driven analysis. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys bridging mechanical, electrical, and experimental problem-solving in a fast-paced R&D and prototyping environment.

The ideal candidate is equally comfortable designing and building test hardware, executing structured experiments, troubleshooting prototypes, analyzing results, and communicating findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Fixture Design & Development

• Design, build, and refine custom test fixtures, jigs, and experimental setups for prototype and validation testing
• Develop fixtures using CAD tools, rapid prototyping methods, machining, and off-the-shelf components
• Integrate sensors, instrumentation, actuators, and data acquisition systems into test platforms
• Improve fixture reliability, repeatability, safety, and ease of use

Prototype Development & Support

• Assemble, modify, and troubleshoot mechanical and electromechanical prototypes
• Collaborate with design engineering teams to evaluate manufacturability, reliability, and performance
• Support iterative prototype builds and rapid engineering changes
• Coordinate with external vendors and fabrication partners as needed

Physical Testing & Validation

• Plan and execute structured physical tests for functional, environmental, durability, and performance evaluation
• Develop test procedures, protocols, and acceptance criteria
• Operate and maintain laboratory and test equipment
• Identify root causes of failures and recommend corrective actions

Analysis & Reporting

• Collect, process, and analyze experimental and test data
• Generate clear technical reports summarizing methods, findings, risks, and recommendations
• Present results to engineering teams, project managers, and clients
• Maintain organized documentation, test records, and revision-controlled procedures
