Job Description

JOB SUMMARY This position is responsible for operating the sandblast equipment, material handling of large components, paint prep of machine components, and loading/unloading components from the conveyor line.   Responsibilities include:
  • Operating sandblast equipment
  • Handling materials of large components
  • Prepping for paint (wipe down, surface prep, mask) of machine components
  • Loading and unloading components from conveyor line
  • Maintaining area cleanliness
  • Additional items as assigned by area supervisor
  PRINCIPAL CONTACTS INSIDE/OUTSIDE THE COMPANY This position interacts with other manufacturing personnel, project manager and area supervisor.   COMPETENCY OR POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
  • Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task
  • Must be dependable and trustworthy
  • Ability to work sandblasting equipment safely

  EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • High School graduate or GED
  EQUIPMENT USED This position will be using sandblast equipment, fork truck, proper PPE related to blast booth operation, and a computer.   WORKING AND PHYSICAL CONDITIONS This position will be on the manufacturing floor and will be standing for extended periods of time.
