Position Summary

The Electronics Assembly & Coating Operator supports production by performance hands-on processes involved in protecting electronic components. This role includes preparing, applying, and inspecting protective materials on printed circuit boards, following established procedures and quality standards. The position works closely with production teams to maintain workflow, quality, and safety in a clean, controlled environment and is ideal for candidates with manufacturing, assembly, or electronics experience who are detail oriented and comfortable with hands-on work.

Position Responsibilities:

· Apply conformal coating materials (e.g., acrylic, urethane, silicone) to printed circuit boards (PCBs) using manual or automated methods (spray, dip, brush).

· Mask or tape areas of circuit boards that must remain free of coating.

· Inspect coated assemblies Under UV light to ensure proper coverage and quality.

· Perform manual touch-ups to correct any missed areas or excess coating.

· Maintain clean equipment and work areas. Notify supervisor of equipment malfunctions or material issues.

· Manage (KANBAN)coating materials using FIFO (First In / First Out) inventory control.

· Transport circuit boards between workstations as part of the production flow.

· Follow documented processes and safety protocols, including handling of chemicals and solvents.

· Follow ESD-safe procedures and workplace safety regulations.

· Mix potting compounds (epoxies, silicones, urethanes) to the correct ratios.

· Pour or inject compounds into electronic housing and mold while avoiding air entrapment.

· Monitor potting processes to ensure full encapsulation and uniformity.

· Perform curing processes according to manufacturer specifications.

Required Education and Experience

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· 1–2 years of experience in a conformal coating or electronics manufacturing environment preferred.

· Relevant hands-on experience in coating, finishing, surface preparation, sandblasting, automotive painting, powder coating, spraying, or similar processes.

· Experience working with chemicals, coating, paints, resins, or finishing materials in a controlled environment is a plus.

· Familiarity with IPC standards and coating inspection criteria.

· Ability to read and follow work instructions, schematics, and safety guidelines.

· Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.

· Comfortable working in cleanroom or lab environments with moderate noise and chemical exposure.
