JOB DESCRIPTION: Korean American Family Services (KFAM) is a non-profit organization specializing in gender-based violence, mental health, and foster/adoption services to API immigrant families. KFAM is seeking a Korean-speaking case manager to work under the supervision of Mental Health Program Director. Case manager is responsible for providing case management services for mental health counseling clients as well as some administrative support.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Provide case management and rehab needs to assist mental health clients and submitting documentation following department guidelines and standards
• Advocate on behalf of clients and/or their children with government agencies, schools, medical providers and other service providers.
• Provide linkage and referrals to resources such as legal aids, housing, and etc.
• Answer phone and email inquiries for mental health services
• Complete all admissions paperwork and prepare client files for therapists
• Verify eligibility for benefits for each patient (e.g. – DMH, medical insurance)
• Assist with scheduling medication service appointments for the nurse practitioner
• Assist with outreach events
• Provide translation services as needed
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must be Bilingual in Korean
• Bachelor’s degree in related field, preferred
• Must have strong organizational skills, be good at multi-tasking, and detail oriented
• Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills—good at working with people
• Customer service or administrative support experience, a plus
• Must have driver’s license, insurance and be willing to drive, as needed

(4) Asian Foster Family Initiative, including recruitment, training and support for Korean and other Asian Pacific Islander (API) foster parents to provide culturally appropriate, safe homes to API foster children, child supervised visitation and parenting education. KFAM is the nation’s first and only Asian Pacific Islander (API)-focused Foster Family Agency with services available in Korean, Mandarin, Cantonese, Tagalog and Vietnamese.
