Job Summary

The Referral Coordinator is responsible for processing referral and authorization requests for all providers practicing within a given area and ensuring that when needed, referral/authorization numbers are obtained for these services. Access to specialty and ancillary services is a key component of the satisfaction of our patients and referring providers. The responsibilities of this position are extremely important in meeting or exceeding customer satisfaction.

  • Responsible for preparation/completion of referrals, authorizations, scheduling appointments, coordinating care between departments/facilities and registration back-up for the department.

Qualifications

Schedule: Mon  – Fri 8:30a - 5p.  The scheduled start and end times require flexibility to meet the needs of the practice. 

Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma - OR - GED - OR - Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education
