Job Summary

The position for Maintenance Parts Room Clerk is responsible for receiving, cataloging, storage, cycle-counts and managing inventory of maintenance parts.  The Crib Clerk is also responsible for issuing parts and tools to team members of the maintenance department. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Account for all tools/radios, etc. checked out from the tool crib to ensure they are returned.
  • Maintain parts inventories:  receiving, storage, and issuing parts according to specific work orders.
  • Perform 5S and safety audits on the tool and parts crib areas.
  • Operate the dispatch systems which create real-time data and work orders/labor accountability.
  • Work with vendors for quotes and availability on past due parts as well as create POs as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Job Requirements

  • Skills:  Ability to perform basic math.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a parts room/tool crib.  Experience in inventory management software is preferred.  Computerized Maintenance Management Software experience is a bonus.  Experience working in a 5S environment is preferred.
  • Age: Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorships are available.
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent in a related field is preferred.
  • Physical Abilities:
    • Ability to stand for long periods.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, including above the head and below the waist.
  • Environmental: Ability to work in varying temperature conditions.
  • Flexibility: Must be able to work overtime as needed. Ability to adjust quickly to changing demands.
  • Compliance: Must practice good personal hygiene. Candidates must successfully pass a post-offer/pre-employment drug test, background screen, physical and E-Verify.
