Job Description

 SeaView’s Adult Mental Health Residential Treatment Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team. If you are passionate about helping others facing behavioral health challenges, this is the perfect opportunity for you. As a Behavioral Health Tech, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with mental health challenges to recover and lead successful lives.

Position: Behavioral Health Tech (1) Full-time

Compensation Package:

  • Hourly Rate: $18-20 per hour
  • Temporary Staff Housing: Temporary Staff housing is available to support you in moving to Seward, AK. Housing requires a modest payroll deduction. Please inquire at interview.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide empathetic and non-judgmental support to individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorders
  • Facilitate group discussions and support sessions
  • Assist clients in setting goals and creating individualized plans
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure a comprehensive approach to treatment
  • Promote a safe and supportive community within residential and housing programs
  • Encourage clients to engage in healthy recreational and social activities
  • Assist in crisis intervention, as needed
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; 
  • Driver's License
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
  • Compassion, empathy, and a non-judgmental attitude
  • Reliable and punctual
