Facilities Maintenance Associate Position Purpose

Responsible for general maintenance and support for shop and yard at their assigned location. 

Facilities Maintenance Associate Essential Functions

  • Communicates and supports the Kirby Smith vision and core values of One Mission, One Team, One Plan, One Goal
  • Acts as a support to show crew when not short handed
  • Assists with washing and prepping machines that are both sold for delivery and preparing to be worked on
  • Maintains cleanliness of outside property throughout the day
  • Cleans and organizes the shop as needed
  • Preforms multiple office projects such as painting, signage, and furniture building
  • Handles safety audits
  • Works closely with safety team to ensure safety processes are being followed
  • Works with quality control on dismantling and removing warranty parts that are no longer needed
  • Manages cleaning products and maintains accurate inventory of supplies
  • Performs maintenance such as but not limited to changing air filters, replacing ceiling tiles, etc.
  • Ensures consistent and reliable on-site attendance 
  • Performs other job-related duties within the branch as assigned

Facilities Maintenance Associate Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Ability to understand and follow simple instructions
  • Must be able to adapt to temperature and tolerate environmental extremes such as hot to cold, working in hot conditions, dust, dirt and chemicals
  • Ability to speak, read and write in English

Facilities Maintenance Associate Physical Requirements

  • Pushes/Pulls/Lifts/Carries up to 50 pounds without assistance
  • Physical ability to squat, twist, turn, bend, stoop, climb, and reach overhead
  • Must be able to work in extreme heat or cold and wet, damp, dusty, or windy conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises, hazardous materials, and fumes/odors
  • Physical ability to perform work for extended hours 
  • Ability to adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) policy and maintain individual PPE
