Position Summary:
Responsible for accounts receivable follow-up of assigned providers. Reviews Athena on a daily basis to ensure claim submission was successful and accepted by payer. 

Job Functions:

• Responsible for accounts receivable follow-up of assigned providers. 
• Reviews Athena on a daily basis to ensure claim submission was successful and accepted by payer. 
• Responsible for communication with patient and/or physician offices regarding outstanding claims.
• Position serves both internal co-workers and external customers, clients, patients, contractors, and vendors.
• Access to and/or works with sensitive and/or confidential information.
• Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA). 
• Skilled in the application of policies and procedures. Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma required
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
