Role Overview

Mitsubishi Power in Savannah, Georgia is seeking Document Control Intern for Summer 2026.  As part of our IGNITE Internship Program, you won’t just observe—you’ll contribute. The Document Control Intern maintains document records and manages information exchange between Mitsubishi Power and clients or vendors using document management systems. This role supports daily document control activities and provides general administrative support to the Engineering department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates our core competencies: Action oriented, change champion, customer-focused, developing self & others, and ownership
  • Support Engineering, customers, and vendors with all document control activities, including document creation, transmittal, distribution, and external coordination.
  • Manage document flow within the document management system, including scanning, uploading, metadata entry, printing, filing, and retrieval in accordance with procedures.
  • Monitor document status, submissions, and correspondence to ensure timely processing, accurate tracking, and alignment with project schedules; escalate and resolve issues as needed.
  • Prepare and distribute document transmittals, track acknowledgements, and report document status to management on a regular basis.
  • Maintain data integrity through audits, quality checks, and oversight of document control processes, including comment management and vendor documentation.
  • Provide user support for document management systems, including document formatting, conversion (PDF/TIFF), and use of templates.
  • Generate reports and dashboards to improve visibility into documentation progress and performance.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program from an accredited college or university with a graduation date of May 2027 or later.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as industry reports and technical journals.
  • Ability to make judgment decisions based on material specifications or technical requirements
  • Advanced personal computer skills including electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, drawings, programming language, etc.
