Job Description

Role Summary

As the Receptionist, you are the face and first impression of our VCC Little Rock office. In this role, you will manage daily front desk operations while supporting multiple departments with administrative, communication, and coordination tasks. You’ll play a key role in keeping the office running smoothly, ensuring a welcoming environment for visitors, and maintaining efficient internal processes. This is a safety sensitive position. 

What You will be Responsible For

  • Covers the front desk from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. 
  • Handles incoming calls quickly and courteously, helping visitors, and implement front desk emergency procedures as necessary.
  • Conveys caller/visitor information accurately per front desk guidelines & procedures.
  • Maintains office security—following office security policy—ensuring that employees escort all visitors. Notify front desk supervisor of any escort issues.
  • Notifies tech support about issues with the phone system to ensure a timely resolution.
  • Communicates pertinent daily information to back up receptionists and other office receptionists.
  • Assist with passive recruiting efforts such as sourcing candidates/reviewing resumes on job boards like LinkedIn. 
  • Scan and route incoming mail. 
  • Coordinates the pick-up and delivery of express mail services such as FedEx/UPS. 
  • Distribute quarterly newsletters and other marketing distributions. 
  • Assist Accounting department with travel oversite and other accounting related duties. .
  • Other duties as assigned. 

What You Bring 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years of related administrative experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Experience w/ Microsoft Office Suite and typical office equipment.
  • Excellent phone etiquette.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask
