The Concessions Intern supports the Concessions Department by assisting with a wide range of operational functions to help ensure Gillette Stadium remains a premier destination for sports and entertainment. This internship provides hands-on exposure to large-scale foodservice operations within a professional sports and entertainment venue.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Rotate through various functions within the Concessions Department, including front of house management, warehousing, purchasing, and staffing, to gain insight into how large-scale foodservice operations function in a professional sports environment serving up to 65,000 guests per event
Attend departmental meetings and assist with administrative and operational follow-up as needed.
Assist with day-to-day concessions operations between events to ensure preparedness, as well as execution of large-scale ticketed events.
Special projects and assignments as business dictates.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibility
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree or equal technical degree preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to plan ahead, stay organized, and manage multiple tasks
Team-oriented mindset with a strong customer service focus
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, bend and be able to lift 40 pounds.
Must be able to climb a ladder.
Must have a flexible schedule including nights, mornings, weekends, weekdays, and holidays.
Must be able to handle stressful situations effectively and professionally.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The noise level in the work environment is often loud
Will work in all types of weather, including extreme heat and cold
This is a fast-paced environment with many moving parts
