Job Purpose

This internship provides hands-on experience across Payor Accounts, Patient Services, and Real-World Evidence (RWE) at Pharmacosmos.

The intern will support payer strategy, patient access programs, and data-driven insights by analyzing information from our products HUB and affordability services, translating findings into actionable recommendations to improve patient access and outcomes.

This role is ideal for candidates who are interested in understanding how payer strategy, patient support programs, and real-world data intersect to drive access to specialty therapies.


Responsibilities:

Payor Accounts 

  • Research payer policies, reimbursement pathways, and coverage criteria for Pharmacosmos products
  • Support competitive intelligence on iron therapies and treatment landscape
  • Assist in identifying barriers to access (e.g., prior authorization, site-of-care restrictions)
  • Contribute to development of payer engagement materials and access strategies

Patient Services & Access Programs

  • Analyze data from patient support programs (HUB services, affordability programs) to identify trends in access, utilization, and patient journey
  • Support evaluation of patient access barriers, including financial, logistical, and reimbursement challenges
  • Contribute to optimization of patient support services and access pathways

Real-World Evidence (RWE) / Data Analytics (Medical, Sr. Dir. HEOR/RWE)

  • Analyze real-world datasets (claims, EMR, HUB data, or public health data) to identify treatment patterns and outcomes
  • Assist in summarizing clinical and economic outcomes (E.g., analyses by Michael Polson) for use in supporting Payor carve-out strategy contributing to Payor value message. 

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Assist in building trackers, dashboards, and databases to support Market Access and Patient Services initiatives
  • Develop presentations and reports for internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Payor team, Patient Services, and Medical
