Job Description
The Department of Mental Health (DMH) is seeking to hire an intern who will support its Child, Youth and Family (CYF) Division in Central Office Boston.
Duties and Responsibilities (these duties are a general summary and not all inclusive):
Conduct literature review on approaches to quantify unmet need for mental health services for youth with serious emotional disturbance. This review will inform
the CYF Division's efforts to improve access to our community mental health services for youth with unmet needs in Massachusetts.
Identify and use state and federal data regarding the prevalence of serious emotional disturbance for youth in Massachusetts and indicators of unmet need
for mental health services for this population.
Conduct analysis and prepare Tableau dashboards/reports on CYF community services utilization and outcomes data to support CYF quality management goals.
Participate in internal and external meetings regarding the MA children's behavioral health system and connect learnings with literature review and data
analysis projects.

Salary placement is determined by a combination of factors, including the candidate’s years of directly related experience and education, and alignment with our internal compensation structure as set forth by the Human Resources Division’s Hiring Guidelines. For all bargaining unit positions (non-management), compensation is subject to the salary provisions outlined in the applicable collective bargaining agreement and will apply to placement within the appropriate salary range.
