Job Description

The incumbent works closely with the Physician/Provider in the practice clinical setting, assists with direct patient care, and serves as the clinical liaison between Physician/Provider and the patient, as well as the Physician/Provider and the office staff. The incumbent is responsible for promoting communication among all care Providers, patients, and office staff regarding the care plan for the patient as defined by the attending Physician/Provider. This individual attends the patients utilizing the age appropriate principles of growth and development for patients of all ages according to the practice specialty.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • LPN or Medical Assistant Degree Preferred
  • Minimum one year experience
  • BLS/CPR Required
  • High School Diploma or GED Required

SKILLS:

  • Ability to work independently and with groups.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Annual CPR recertification
  • Ability to operate office equipment: computer, printers, fax machine, copy machine, telephone
  • Good knowledge of medical terminology
  • Use of correct terminology, spelling and grammar in documentation.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with various healthcare professionals, patients, families, and employees.
