This isn’t just about observation; you’ll be actively involved in real-world legal projects, focusing on contract analysis and the essential functions of a global legal department.

At arrivia, we’re transforming the travel industry. As a Legal Operations & Contract Intern, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting our attorneys, gaining exposure to the intricacies of business law and regulatory compliance within the unique travel-tech market.

Your Experience:

  • Contract Mastery: Dive deep into analyzing and organizing vendor and member-facing agreements, developing a keen eye for detail and legal language.

  • Employment Law Insights: Gain exposure to employment law matters through research and analysis, building a foundational understanding of this critical area.
  • Focused Legal Research: Conduct targeted legal research projects, contributing to the team’s knowledge base and supporting strategic decision-making.
  • Direct Mentorship: Report directly to the General Counsel and work on a significant legal project throughout your internship, receiving personalized guidance and feedback.

Why arrivia?

  • Practical In-House Focus: This internship focuses on the practical aspects of business law, specifically contract analysis and risk management, rather than courtroom litigation.
  • Hands-On Impact: You’ll be an integral part of the legal team, contributing to meaningful projects that impact our global business operations.
  • Direct Access to Legal Leaders: Learn from experienced professionals, including our General Counsel, who are passionate about mentoring the next generation of legal talent.

  • Dynamic Travel-Tech Environment: Experience the excitement of the travel industry within a company that’s constantly innovating.
  • On-Site Collaboration: Participate in valuable in-office interactions at our Scottsdale, AZ headquarters.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Currently enrolled as a rising 3L or a 2L law student.
  • A strong interest in pursuing a career within an in-house legal department.
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information with absolute discretion.
  • Availability to work up to 40 hours per week for the 10-week duration.
  • Ability to work on-site at our Scottsdale, AZ office.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with various legal documents and commercial terminology.
