Job Description

GMG is seeking a detail-oriented Loss Mitigation Specialist to join our HUD Servicing Operations team in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In this full-time, on-site role, the Loss Mitigation Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of loss mitigation requests, ensuring compliance with federal privacy law, and responding to inquiries from borrowers, heirs, title and real estate agents, and estate attorneys.

Job Duties

  • Process incoming requests for loss mitigation intervention in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Receive and resolve correspondence from borrowers and other interested parties, including heirs, title agents, real estate agents, and estate attorneys.
  • Review and analyze complex financial information and legal documents to support loss mitigation decisions.
  • Apply strong negotiation and communication skills to facilitate resolution of loss mitigation cases.
  • Provide regular reporting to management on case status and portfolio activity.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all customer information and interactions in accordance with federal privacy law and company policy.
  • Adhere to all established company policies and procedures.

Education

  • High school diploma, GED, or foreign equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.

Experience

  • 1 year of loan servicing, mortgage servicing, or real estate experience preferred.
  • Customer service experience required.
  • Knowledge of loan servicing and loss mitigation techniques preferred.

  • Ability to review, analyze, and interpret legal and financial documents.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive data responsibly.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Professional demeanor, positive attitude, and impeccable punctuality and attendance.
  • Highly dependable with a consistent record of meeting daily responsibilities and project deadlines.

    Additional Requirements

    • This is a fully on-site position in Tulsa, OK, performed within a secure Federal Government location.
    • Mandatory successful completion of a federal background check, including criminal history review, credit screening, and fingerprinting, prior to employment.

    Work is performed in a professional office environment within a secure Federal Government location in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This role routinely involves standard office equipment including computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, fax machines, and mail equipment. Employees must be able to sit for extended periods, move about the office as needed, and communicate information clearly in both verbal and written form. The work environment operates at a low-to-moderate noise level. Work shifts are scheduled between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
