Courier Driver – Richmond

1pm-930pm to 2pm-1030pm Monday-Friday.

Job Summary:

The Courier Driver is responsible for all deliveries and the pickup of materials and supplies from internal and external customers in the assigned geographical area.  In addition, the Courier Driver will ensure the accuracy of all paperwork related to the job. The ideal candidate will be a reliable, safe driver, and who can offer great customer service.

Essential Functions:

  • Delivers and picks up products from customers in clinics and hospitals by traveling between facilities

  • Ensures good customer relations by establishing a scheduled route for delivery and pick up in a timely manner  

  • Maintain a clean van/truck by removing trash and debris

  • Completes daily checklist to ensure van and equipment are in working order and reports any malfunction of the vehicle to management

  • Assist the department during periods of increased activity and/or when staff shortages occur

  • Other duties as assigned

Education:

  • High School Degree or GED

    (required)

Licensing/Certification

Valid state Driver's License (required)

Work Experience

Previous courier experience (preferred)

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor always

  • Ability to operate & maneuver all vehicles within the fleet

  • Ability to read a map and follow verbal directions
