If you're looking for a career that offers growth opportunities and values its coworkers, then join our growing team of Laundry Attendant/Houseperson!  This position will support the Hampton Inn in Lancaster, PA. 

The Laundry Attendant/Houseperson will be responsible for performing routine duties to ensure the high standards of cleanliness and service for the hotel and the brand. House people should take pride in providing exceptional guest experiences by ensuring the hotel common areas are properly cleaned and maintained.

This is a Full-Time (5 days per week) position, with the flexibility to work   8am-4pm and 3pm-11pm. Shifts and days will vary including weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Flexibility is required. 

Starting Rate: $17.33/hr. *Potential for increase is based on experience.

Areas of responsibility for our Houseperson include:

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all public areas, including hallways, stairwells, elevators, restrooms, and lobby areas.
  • Remove trash from public spaces and housekeeping carts.
  • Deliver, stock, and organize linens and housekeeping supplies.
  • Perform heavy cleaning tasks and assist with moving furniture when needed.
  • Operate, clean, and maintain housekeeping equipment safely.
  • Sort, wash, dry, fold, and store linens according to standards.
  • Identify, treat, and separate stained or damaged linens; track counts of all linen types.
  • Keep laundry and storage areas clean and organized.
  • Report malfunctioning equipment immediately.
  • Assist with guest room cleaning and ensure proper linen levels when required.
  • Follow all hotel policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Use chemicals and equipment properly and report unsafe conditions.
  • Maintain reliable attendance, professionalism, and proper uniform appearance.
  • Support sustainability initiatives and assist team members as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Our next team-member will ideally possess the following educational and work qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred 
  • Reading, math, and communication skills
  • The ability to work in both a team environment and independently
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a frequent basis
  • Availability to holidays and weekends is required
  • Adhere to brand and company standards
