Job Description

Our Convertible Bond Sales team is seeking a motivated and ambitious Analyst for a Sales assistant role in the New York office. You will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the sales team coordinating with internal stakeholders in operations, and KYC, banking and compliance
  •  Collaborate with trading, research, syndicate, and other functions to deliver exceptional service to our clients and to the sales team. 

This role offers the opportunity to grow into becoming a client facing salesperson after a few years. 

Job responsibilities:

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure that back end operational tasks are completed. This includes monitoring and resolving trade breaks/settlement issues, assisting clients in accessing JPM research and onboarding new accounts.
  • Learn JPM Convert accounts and strategies to understand market participants and various trading styles.
  • Self-starter who will generate trade ideas & market commentary to distinguish yourself and to assist sales in identifying opportunities for clients and the desk.
  • Write a daily recap on market activity and valuation.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • 4 year college degree.
  • Strong Math Skills
  • Proficient in MS Excel
  • Self-starter with genuine passion for financial markets
  • Very strong communication skills.
  • Proactive, team player, detail-oriented, curiosity are musts.
  • Excellent time management abilities.
