  • Work Location: Delta Willowbrook. 7800 Kingery Hwy, Willowbrook, IL 60527
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Pay: $16 per hour
  • Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, Night shifts, Holidays, and Weekends

Job Overview

The Floor Houseperson assists housekeepers in cleaning and preparing guest rooms and ensures all common areas are meticulously maintained for guest comfort.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet all customers warmly and professionally.
  • Retrieve linen and trash from room attendant carts and assigned rooms daily.
  • Restock linen carts and closets throughout the day.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage rooms, regularly vacuuming as needed.
  • Keep elevators, hallways, walkways, and stairs clean and presentable.
  • Assist with special projects like mattress flipping and deep cleaning under the direction of the Housekeeping Manager.
  • Operate housekeeping equipment such as vacuums and carpet cleaners.
  • Clean hallway doors, windows, and vents.
  • Deliver requested items to guest rooms promptly.
  • Ensure cleanliness of all guest’s common areas including lobbies, restrooms, and pool areas, and vacuum hallways as necessary.
  • Handle guest complaints efficiently and courteously.
  • Assist other hotel departments during peak periods.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Perform any other tasks/duties as assigned by the manager/ supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma preferred.
  • Previous hotel experience preferred.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and lift and bend as required.
  • Ability to see, hear, speak, and understand English proficiently.
  • Computer literate.
  • Strong communication skills with guests.
  • Knowledge of the local area is advantageous.
