Job Description

You've come to the right place!   Degesch America, Inc is seeking a motivated individual to work full-time in our production facility in Weyers Cave, VA to assist with producing, sorting, and packaging products for shipment. Position requires strong attention to detail as all items must be carefully inspected for quality. Candidates with prior experience in a production environment are preferred; however, the most important quality we seek is the ability to learn and develop skills through on-the-job training.   The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, good communication skills, and be able to work well with a small team and alone when needed. Experience operating machinery and/or using a forklift is a plus. You will learn first-hand how to operate production line equipment and how to make our products. You will be responsible for producing quality products in a timely manner to specified standards and reporting any issues with equipment as they arise.   Schedule: Monday-Thursday, additional days as needed Hours: 6am-4:30pm, additional hours as needed   General Duties
  • Perform manufacturing tasks as directed by supervisors
  • Learn all aspects of manufacturing, from production to light assembly of products
  • Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner
  • Maintain clean, orderly work area, returning supplies and equipment to assigned locations
  • Follow all safety protocols and adhere to rules requiring PPE at all times
  Required
  • 18 or older
  • Be punctual and have reliable transportation to work
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Standing, bending at the waist and knee, and walking for full, 10-hour shifts
  Working Conditions
  • Production environment with machinery
  • Repetitive tasks, primarily using wrists, hands, and fingers
  • Labor intensive
  • Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE)
