Maintenance/Custodian

Wayne Akers Ford is currently seeking a Building Maintenance Custodian for our Lake Worth, FL location.  The individual in this role will be responsible for maintaining a safe and clean working environment for all dealership associates and customers. This includes the upkeep of all buildings as well as the entire property grounds.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 Per Hour

Job type: Full-time

Job Setting:  In-person

Schedule:  Monday – Friday   6:00am – 3:00pm  

Responsibilities:

• Complete maintenance and janitorial tasks efficiently.
• Maintain facilities through cleaning, organizing, and replacing materials.
• Perform minor carpentry, painting, electrical, and plumbing repairs.
• Maintain the cleanliness of outdoor furniture, sidewalks, driveways, and entryways.
• Perform pressure cleaning and sweeping as needed.
• Plan painting projects, estimate material needs, and handle purchasing.
• Take initiative to complete duties without direct supervision.
• Assist building managers in emergency situations and follow all safety procedures.
• Comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including hazardous waste disposal.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and tools used in custodial and maintenance work.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Must pass a background check and drug test.
