As a Registered Nurse in our oncology infusion clinic, you’ll spend your day providing compassionate, hands-on care to patients receiving chemotherapy and other infusion therapies. You’ll monitor treatments, manage side effects, and offer education and support to patients and families, all while collaborating closely with physicians, pharmacists, and the care team. As an Infusion Therapy Registered Nurse, you will:
Provide for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization; supervision of care provided by supportive personnel and coordination of care provided by ancillary services.
Include patients and significant others (SO), families in developing an individualized plan of care.
Educate patients, SO, families to their disease process and plan of care.
Serve as patient advocate and responsible for assisting the clinical staff.
Provide optimum care utilizing the nursing process.
Infusion Therapy Registered Nurse Experience:
Less than 1 year Advanced Dysrhythmia Experience
Less than 1 year Medical Surgical Nursing Experience
Less than 1 year IV Team Experience
Less than 1 year EKG Experience
Education & Credential Requirements:
Associate of Science in Nursing Required
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR) Required
Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) Preferred
Conscious Sedation Certification Preferred
Licensed Registered Nurse Required
