We are currently seeking a Kitchen Associate to join our team of behavioral healthcare professionals. This role plays an important part in supporting our patients’ recovery journey by ensuring safe, nutritious, and timely meal service in a clean and welcoming environment.

Schedule

  • Full-time
  • 11:30 AM – 7:30 PM

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Food Preparation & Service

  • Assist with all dietary functions in accordance with department policies and procedures
  • Prepare and serve meals following established food safety guidelines
  • Ensure meals are served according to portion control and quality standards
  • Restock food, beverages, and supplies for meal service

Sanitation & Cleanliness

  • Perform daily and scheduled cleaning tasks
  • Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen, dish room, and storage areas
  • Sweep and mop floors as assigned
  • Dispose of food and waste in compliance with facility and regulatory standards

Inventory & Organization

  • Assist with receiving, rotating, and storing food and supplies
  • Ensure proper labeling and storage of items according to food safety standards

Support & Team Collaboration

  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff
  • Assist with basic Cook responsibilities as assigned
  • Report any concerns or issues promptly to the Dining Services Manager or Supervisor
  • Report workplace incidents, injuries, or illnesses immediately

Compliance & Training

  • Complete all required trainings and maintain mandatory training hours
  • Follow all facility policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

Other Duties

  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous food service experience preferred

Certifications

  • ServSafe certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable, team-oriented, and adaptable
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
