 Job Summary

1. Sell tennis merchandise in the pro shop. Maintain the pro shop and court assignments.

2. Because of the fluctuating demands of the Club’s operations, it may be necessary for each employee to perform a multitude of different functions; therefore, as an essential part of your job, you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as other employees are expected to help you. Accordingly, you may be expected to perform other tasks as needed or as directed.  

Minimum Requirements

1. Answer phones and take messages

2. Book tennis lessons and cancel lessons

3. Sign up members for courts

4. Charge members for purchases

5. Process checks and credit cards

6. Clean doors and counters

7. Organize apparel and shoes

8. Sign up members for tennis tournaments

9. Write up special orders for members

10. Service: help members with apparel, rackets, shoes, etc.

11. Write up information for restringing rackets

12. Sign up children for the fall/spring/ summer tennis programs

13. Talk to members about rackets, strings, shoes and apparel 

14. Completes other appropriate assignments made by the Assistant Pro Shop Manager and/or Pro Shop Manager.

Requirements

1. Education – High School Diploma or GED (unless currently enrolled in High School), CPR/AED & First Aid Certification

2. Language Skills – English

3. Physical Requirements

i. Stand – Three quarters of the time

ii. Walk – Quarter of the time

iii. Sit – None

iv. Use hands/fingers to handle/feel – Always

v. Reach with hands/arms – Three quarters of the time

vi. Climb or balance – Occasionally

vii. Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl – Occasionally

viii. Talk/hear – Always

ix. Taste/smell – None

x. Weight Lifted/force exerted – occasionally up to 20 pounds.
