Job Description
An automotive porter is responsible for maintaining vehicle organization, cleanliness, and supporting daily operational needs. This role ensures that vehicles and the shop environment remain orderly, safe, and ready for use, contributing to a smooth and efficient workflow for crews and management.
Vehicle Management
• Transport vehicles between the shop, lot, service areas, storage, and other facilities as needed.
• Ensure vehicles are parked and presented in an organized, accessible manner for crew andservice staff.
• Perform light maintenance tasks such as checking fluid levels and confirming vehicles arestreet‑ready.
Vehicle Cleaning & Presentation
• Clean both the interior and exterior of vehicles to maintain a professional, presentableappearance for the public and crew.
• Uphold cleanliness standards that reflect positively on the organization.
Shop Maintenance
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment by performing routine cleaning andupkeep tasks.
Operational Support
• Assist management by coordinating vehicle logistics, allowing supervisors and specialized staff tofocus on their primary duties.
• Support daily operations by completing tasks as directed in a timely and efficient manner.
Driving Experience
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Comfortable and confident driving various types of vehicles frequently.
Physical Fitness
• Ability to walk, stand, and move around the compound for extended periods.
• Capable of performing physical tasks related to vehicle handling and shop maintenance.
Attention to Detail
