Job Description

Job Summary: Performs various cleaning duties to buildings, grounds, equipment, and vehicles.

Essential Functions:

 1.    Cleaning duties such as cleaning oil spill on parking lot, emptying trash and general cleaning.

 2.    Check fluid levels and fill as needed with correct fluid. Legibly document the amount used on fuel sheet.  Report excessive fluid use to supervisor on duty.

 3.    Pick up debris, sweep out, thoroughly mop vehicles, wipe down driver and passenger areas and disinfect.

 4.    Wash vehicle exterior as required.

 5.    Fuel vehicles at MTTA and offsite facilities and legibly document gallons used on fuel sheet. 

 6.    Assist with ice and snow removal during winter weather events.

 7.    Probe buses and restock card media for fareboxes.

 8.    Remediate biohazards in vehicles as needed.

 9.    Document vehicle mileage daily.

 10.    Assume additional responsibilities as directed or required.

 11.    Must report to work on a regular and timely basis.

Requirements:

Knowledge - High School Diploma or GED required.  Must have ability to operate cleaning and other equipment used in the cleaning of equipment, buildings, and grounds, such as steam cleaner, buffer, and forklift, etc.

Mental Effort - Must be able to read and understand directions given on work cards and orders, write legible to complete orders, and receive parts and supplies.

License - Must have a valid Oklahoma Class D Operators License.   Must have received no moving violations within the last 3 years and have no DUI/DWI convictions.

Physical - Extensive walking and standing required at least 90% of the time.  Requires lifting a maximum of 70 to 100lbs and lifting parts and materials overhead.   Requires ability to withstand exposure to negative surroundings such as uncomfortable weather conditions, dust, engine fumes, toxic chemicals, and extreme noise levels.  Must be able to climb on a ladder or other equipment to heights such as building roofs at MTTA facilities.  Must be able to crawl or stoop into tight areas and lay horizontal under a vehicle.

Audible/Visual Demands - Requires ability to hear directions given; visually perform essential functions for satisfactory job performance.

Miscellaneous - Must be willing to work shift hours and days as assigned.  Must be safety conscious and avoid accidents if possible.
