PR & Media Communications Intern 

Arthrex is a global medical device company and leader in orthopedics medical education. With a corporate mission of Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better™, Arthrex has pioneered the field of arthroscopy and develops more than 1,000 innovative products and procedures each year that support all aspects of orthopedics. The PR & Media Communications team in Naples, FL is responsible for highlighting and pitching Arthrex stories in the media, both locally and nationally. We are searching for an intern pursuing a degree in Communications, PR, Journalism or Media to support the PR & Media Communications team. The selected candidate will help with media relations initiatives including helping to manage Arthrex’s patient stories campaigns, ideating new and innovative ways to tell stories on social media, assist in editing news highlights, collaborate on media monitoring initiatives and more with guidance from the PR & Media Communications team. The individual will be creative, detail oriented, organized and collaborative. 

This internship will run from September 2026 – December 2026. The ideal candidate will have the availability to work more than 20 hours per week at our Naples, FL facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Edit news highlights and social media content.
  • Assist in writing social media copy.
  • Support patient story initiatives onsite or within the community.
  • Creative planning and brainstorming innovative ideas for digital, broadcast and print campaigns.
  • Assist with media monitoring efforts.

Education and Experience:

  • Progress towards a college degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Media or Sports Marketing required. A college senior or above required. (Recent graduates must be within six months of their graduation date to qualify.)
  • Social media platform knowledge required.
  • AP Style writing skills required.
  • Video editing experience preferred.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

Basic to intermediate computer skills. Be able to follow written and verbal direction.

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

PC; Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook; PowerPoint; Word and Excel. Fax; Scanner.
