About the Job:

This Intern position is located at the base of Pikes Peak, America’s Mountain, in beautiful Colorado Springs which is also the home of the Olympic Training Center and U.S. Air Force Academy!  If you enjoy the outdoors, there are plenty of opportunities for hiking, camping, fishing, mountain biking, white water rafting, skiing, snowboarding, golfing, state and national park outings, and more year-round!  Keysight Colorado Springs is also located only 2 miles away from the famous Garden of the Gods Park.

You will collaborate with manufacturing, R&D, and marketing teams world-wide through the development of Keysight’s new test and measurement products until successful launch into a production environment.  The New Product Introduction (NPI) team performs design validation, test creation, and performance analysis for all new products during development.  This is your opportunity to join a team that's bringing new products and technologies to the market faster and more efficiently than ever before!

About the Team:

Our NPI teams are multi-disciplinary, involving mechanical, electrical, and software engineering. As an NPI (New Product Introduction) Engineer Intern, you will apply your engineering schooling, knowledge, and skills to a variety of hands-on activities supporting a team of engineers and technicians. You will be part of a product development team that collaborates closely with cross functional teams to design, develop, and test our Realtime Oscilloscopes, Quantum Computing Control Systems, Wireless 5G test solutions, and Probes and Accessories.

Responsibilities


There are a variety of responsibilities assigned to an NPI Engineer Intern I, including:

– Work on real, new Keysight products that are currently in progress

– Inspect, label, and organize incoming prototype material

– Use Electrical Test Fixtures to inspect, turn on, and troubleshoot prototype PCA’s (printed circuit board assemblies)

– Use a variety of hand tools and power tools (i.e. screw drivers, torque drivers, etc.) to build prototype oscilloscope sub-assemblies and high-level assemblies

– Turn on, load software, and troubleshoot prototype oscilloscopes

– Calibrate prototype oscilloscopes

– Run manufacturing tests on prototype oscilloscopes in the lab and in temperature chambers to characterize performance

– Create documentation for board turn on and assembly processes

– Capture and provide DFm (Design for Manufacturing) feedback to engineers


Qualifications


– Undergraduate student pursuing a BS in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or related major.

– Completed Freshman or Sophomore years with expected graduation in 2028 or 2029. 


– Good organizational and communication skills

CO Pay Range: $29.65-$31.93
