  Position Title: Data Science Intern   Location: Fairfax, VA   Work Arrangement: On-site   Overview:
We are seeking a Data Science Intern to support our analytics and database operations. This role focuses on database management, data pipelines, and modeling techniques

Responsibilities:

• Assist with data parsing and database construction
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and analysis
• Help build and test predictive models and analytical tools

Required Skills/Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field
• Basic experience with SQL and relational databases
• Familiarity with Python or R for data analysis
• Understanding of data structures, analytics concepts, and statistical techniques

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

• Experience with database tools such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server
• Exposure to machine learning libraries (pandas, NumPy, scikit‑learn, etc.)
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Matplotlib, etc.)
• Understanding of ETL processes or data pipeline concepts

• Must have the ability to stoop, stand, climb, occasionally lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
• Involves movement between departments, floors, and worksites to facilitate work.

Work Authorization Requirement:
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for current or future employment visa sponsorship.   Hourly Rate: $27.00 Hourly rate depends on relevant work experience, education, training, essential skills, and/or other factors such as specialized or high-demand professions. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible for an annual bonus.
