This internship opportunity will help support the IT function in our facility in Tonawanda, NY.

Purpose: 

Provide a student pursuing an Information Technology career with practical experience in a manufacturing environment while assisting with defined IT Operational requirements.

Objectives: 

• Support daily IT operations including workstation setup, deployment, and troubleshooting, as well as the replacement of legacy equipment with new laptops as part of the Tech Debt Refresh Project
 

Projects: 

• Prepare and deploy laptop and desktop images for new hires across local and remote sites
• Coordinate shipment and tracking of IT equipment for internal and external locations
• Assist with shop floor support including device replacement and basic troubleshooting
• Provide first-level user support for hardware and software issues
• Maintain inventory and assist with asset management activities

Goals: 

• Present outcomes of main project at the end of the summer to plant and corporate leadership 
• Improve imaging and deployment process efficiency and reduce setup time for new hires
• Complete the Tech Debt Refresh Project

Qualifications:

• Must be working towards a  Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or an equivalent degree from an accredited university.
