Compensation

We will pay you an hourly rate of $15.00 per hour.

About the Job

The primary objective of this position is to provide comprehensive administrative support, and to offer interns valuable exposure to and understanding of key tasks and functions that are fundamental to the successful operation of any business. Through real-life professional experience, interns will gain practical insights into the day-to-day workings of a professional environment. Additionally, the interns will provide support to multiple departments within Shalom Austin.

You’ll wow us by masterfully performing the following key duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to multiple departments at Shalom Austin.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with other staff members.
  • Attend meetings and training sessions as requested.
  • Under the direction of designated supervision: assist with gathering information for
    special projects.
  • Under the direction of designated supervision: organize information in spreadsheets,
    ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Seniors currently enrolled in the Anderson High School Business Practicum course.
  • Available Tuesdays & Thursdays from 9:00am to 12:00pm.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and adhere to Shalom Austin’s policies regarding privacy and data protection.
  • Maintain a professional and respectful attitude towards all staff, visitors, and fellow interns.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn and take initiative in completing tasks.
  • Stay focused on assigned tasks with minimal distractions from personal devices.
  • Expect a constant flow of foot traffic in and out of your workspace.
  • Work in an environment with consistent low to medium background noise.
  • Be able to stand, sit, and walk throughout the duration of your shift.
  • Engage in regular and extended computer use.
  • Move successfully around the facility as needed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products is a plus.
  • Maintain a professional appearance that aligns with Shalom Austin’s dress code policy
