Under the supervision of a registered nurse, performs direct observation of a patient(s) who have been deemed to be a potential danger to themselves. Will be required to float to all units. This position requires age related competency. Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on the level of patient contact this position requires.

This role can also be performed as a Telesitter remotely monitoring patients via audio-visual technology who have been deemed to be a potential danger to themselves.
