Position Overview:

As a High Dusting Technician at FCS Facility Services at Orlando International Airport (MCO), you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of elevated and hard-to-reach areas throughout the airport facilities. This position is responsible for removing dust, debris, and buildup from ceilings, vents, pipes, rafters, beams, light fixtures, and other overhead structures using specialized equipment and safety procedures.

The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, the ability to work safely at elevated heights, and experience maneuvering lifts or aerial equipment in a fast-paced airport environment. Candidates must be committed to maintaining high cleanliness standards while following all airport and OSHA safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• High Dusting Services:

  Perform detailed high dusting and overhead cleaning in airport terminals, concourses, service areas, and other facility spaces. Remove dust, dirt, cobwebs, and debris from ceilings, vents, ducts, beams, pipes, light fixtures, and other elevated surfaces.

  Equipment Operation:

  Safely operate and maneuver scissor lifts, boom lifts, ladders, extension tools, and other aerial equipment required to access elevated areas. Conduct routine equipment inspections to ensure safe operation and report any mechanical concerns promptly.

  Safety and Compliance:

  Follow all OSHA regulations, airport safety procedures, and company policies while working at elevated heights and around active airport operations. Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE), fall protection equipment, and warning signage to maintain a safe work environment.

  Detail and Quality Assurance:

  Maintain high cleaning standards by ensuring all assigned areas are thoroughly cleaned and free of dust and debris. Conduct visual inspections and complete touch-ups as necessary to meet company and client expectations.

  Schedule Coordination:

  Work closely with supervisors and team members to complete assigned projects efficiently and within scheduled timeframes. Flexibility may be required to accommodate operational needs, special projects, or restricted airport access times.

  Customer and Team Interaction:

  Maintain professional communication with airport personnel, supervisors, and team members. Respond professionally to operational requests and support overall facility cleanliness initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in high dusting, commercial cleaning, janitorial services, or related facility maintenance preferred.
• Experience operating scissor lifts, boom lifts, or other aerial equipment preferred.
• Comfortable working at elevated heights for extended periods.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, safety practices, and equipment operation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to pass background checks, airport badging requirements, and drug screenings as required.
• Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $17.75 per hour

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.
Occasional weekend work may be required based on airport operations or special projects.
