Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers high-quality, patient-centered care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions. This role focuses on improving patient outcomes through evidence-based practice, interdisciplinary collaboration, and strong clinical judgment.

RNs actively involve patients and their families in the care process while fostering a supportive, professional environment aligned with organizational values of excellence, accountability, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess patient health status, identifying actual and potential health concerns
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans using evidence-based practices
  • Evaluate patient responses and adjust care plans to optimize outcomes
  • Engage patients and families as active participants in care planning and delivery
  • Coordinate care across interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and quality
  • Delegate and supervise care provided by Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP)
  • Promote a positive unit culture and contribute to a collaborative work environment
  • Uphold standards of patient advocacy, safety, and clinical excellence

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred at time of hire

Education Requirements:

  • RNs hired without a BSN must obtain a BSN within 3 years of hire

Certification Requirements:

  • Professional nursing board certification preferred at hire
  • Required within 2 years of hire (or when eligible, if eligibility requires more than 2 years of experience)
